The following documents give information about disposal and recycling policies in Truckee. The first one gives information about garbage can sizes and requirements, where they must be placed, how many cans are allotted to each home owner, and what additional costs are incurred for extra cans. The second one give information about recycling in Truckee and the Blue Bag program. It lists the items that can and cannot go in the blue bags for recycling and also gives information about additional recycling programs. Click on the images below for enlarged versions.
Grand Opening for Two New Stores in Downtown Truckee

Truckee is proud to announce the Grand Opening of two new stores – The Niche and Ambiance Home Comforts. The Grand Opening will take place this Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 10:00 – 6:00. Refreshments and food will be served all day and each store is offering 20% off all merchandise!
The Niche is a boutique that sells fashion forward women’s clothing, home decor and gifts with affordable price tags. Tour de Nez in Truckee

Yesterday, on Thursday June 19, 2008, the Tour de Nez kicked off with the criterium ride in downtown Truckee. The course is just under a mile in distance and winds through the streets of Historic downtown Truckee. The contenstants rode from 6:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Lots of people came out to support the riders yesterday evening and be part of the fun.
