Truckee Area Sales Stats 4th Quarter 2009

The following graphs show some of the market numbers for Truckee, Donner Lake, Martis Valley, and Northstar. These are also for the 4th Quarter 2009 (October 1-December 31). The first graph shows current active single family homes listed in those areas (178 homes). The marjority of homes listed is in the $399K and under price range (37 homes). There are 26 homes listed in the $400K-$499K range and 33 in the $1.5 mil. and over price range. The second chart shows sold properties during the 4th Quarter of 2009 (84 homes). The most activity is in the $499K and under price range with 25 properties selling under $399K and 23 properties selling in the $400K-$499K range. There have also been 5 properties that have sold for $1.5 mil. and over.

Ritz-Carlton at Tahoe Now Open!

The Ritz-Carlton at Tahoe is now open! This beautiful 5 star Resort has been in the works since July 2006. The tough economic situation and not idealistic snow conditions that past few years have not seemed to affect the development of this Resort that opened its doors on December 9, 2009.
The Resort has 170 hotel rooms (starting at $249/night), 23 private residences and 25 Destination Club lodging facilities.
Nearly 100 locals showed up for the grand opening on Wednesday to see this beautiful new addtion to Tahoe.

The Ritz-Carlton is located mid-mountain at Northstar-at-Tahoe and is Tahoe’s first 5 star resort. This beautiful development just opened in December 2009. Guest services include mountain concierge, ski-in, ski-out access in the winter, and access to hiking and mountain biking the rest of the year. The Resort has 170 guest rooms, 23 private Ritz-Carlton Residences and 25 Ritz-Carlton Destination Club fractional ownership residences.
The Resort’s signature restaurant, Manzanita, has seating for 94 as well as a 71-seat bar & lounge.
The Spa at the Ritz-Carlton Highlands is 17,000 square feet and features treatments and therapies themed around water and the woods. There is also a steam, sauna, jacuzzis, and yoga & spin studios with floor-to-ceiling views of Northstar-at-Tahoe.
There are 25 fractional residences at the Ritz-Carlton that come in two, three, and four bedroom floorplans ranging from 1,423 - 2,434 square feet and have incredible views of the Sierra Nevadas. Members of these fractionals will have use of the unit 21 days out of the year.
