SunChaser Challenge at Northstar

The SunChaser Challenge is this Saturday, May 22nd at Northstar! Events include running, mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, road biking and basic navigating. This is a team event and the challenge is to “save” the endangered animals with each discipline.
There is also a 10K trail run at Lake Tahoe starting at 11:00 a.m.

The 11th Annual Best of Tahoe Chefs is this Sunday! 4:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton at Northstar. Tickets are $175 each and proceeds go to cancer patients and the Tahoe Forest Health System. Click on the image below for more information about this great event!
Truckee Curbside Waste Collection Program

The Curbside Yard Waste Collection Program resumes this week! The Truckee Town Council has just approved the Town’s first curbside pickup for waste collection. This program is intended to give Truckee residents a convenient way to get rid of their vegetative waste.
There is already a blue bag recycling program in effect for other recyclable goods. In order to participate in this new waste collection program, residents must purchase green bags. These green bags will be collected weekly rather than every other week. And similar to the blue bags, green bags will be collected on trash day each week May 1st through October 31st. The green bags will then be recycled.
