Truckee Real Estate Weekly Sales Update

The following chart shows some of the sales activity for the Truckee area this past week (May 16-22, 2010). The information was taken from the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors. The first few columns show active listings – number of current homes and condos. The next rows break down the numbers for active single family home listings – how many short sales, REOs, the lowest, highest & average priced home, and the average days all homes have been on the market in that area. The next column shows how many homes are currently pending and the last number shows how many homes sold in that area for this past week.
SunChaser Challenge at Northstar

The SunChaser Challenge is this Saturday, May 22nd at Northstar! Events include running, mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, road biking and basic navigating. This is a team event and the challenge is to “save” the endangered animals with each discipline.
There is also a 10K trail run at Lake Tahoe starting at 11:00 a.m.

Weekly Tahoe Donner Market Update

Inventory is starting to go back up in Tahoe Donner. 14 new homes came on the market this week! There are now 99 single family homes listed in Tahoe Donner. 5 homes went pending this past week. 17 Tahoe Donner homes are now in escrow. 4 homes sold last week. The sold prices of the homes were $730K, $790K, and $822,500. They were all standard sales (not REOs/foreclosures or short sales). The homes were on the market an average of 106 days and the average original list to sales price was 88%. The absorption rate in Tahoe Donner is currently around 17% and there is about 5 1/2 months of inventory remaining (a “normal” market is around 6 months of inventory). 11th Annual Best of Tahoe Chefs

The 11th Annual Best of Tahoe Chefs is this Sunday! 4:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton at Northstar. Tickets are $175 each and proceeds go to cancer patients and the Tahoe Forest Health System. Click on the image below for more information about this great event!
