The Ritz-Carlton is located mid-mountain at Northstar-at-Tahoe and is Tahoe’s first 5 star resort. This beautiful development just opened in December 2009. Guest services include mountain concierge, ski-in, ski-out access in the winter, and access to hiking and mountain biking the rest of the year. The Resort has 170 guest rooms, 23 private Ritz-Carlton Residences and 25 Ritz-Carlton Destination Club fractional ownership residences.
The Resort’s signature restaurant, Manzanita, has seating for 94 as well as a 71-seat bar & lounge.
The Spa at the Ritz-Carlton Highlands is 17,000 square feet and features treatments and therapies themed around water and the woods. There is also a steam, sauna, jacuzzis, and yoga & spin studios with floor-to-ceiling views of Northstar-at-Tahoe.
There are 25 fractional residences at the Ritz-Carlton that come in two, three, and four bedroom floorplans ranging from 1,423 - 2,434 square feet and have incredible views of the Sierra Nevadas. Members of these fractionals will have use of the unit 21 days out of the year.

New Community Center for Truckee

Truckee just got a new community center! This great new addition to Truckee just opened last Saturday. The Truckee Community Recreation Center is located at 8924 Donner Pass Road, at the Pioneer Center Roundabout. It is free to go check out the new facility and use the equipment until December 23rd. After that, it is a $3 drop-in rate or $20/month membership fee for locals. This includes use of the gym, work out equipment and track. There will many types of aerobic classes offered at the Center coming in the next few months that will have extra fees associated with them. $18 million Truckee Community Center Opens Saturday

TRUCKEE — Climbing walls, an elevated running track, basketball courts and exercise equipment — sounds like a modern gym.Add classrooms, kitchens, fireplaces, dance studios and a picnic area, and you’ve got Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District’s new community center, opening Saturday.

Weekly Tahoe Donner Market Update

4 more homes sold in Tahoe Donner last week. The sold prices were $458,024, $590K, $740K, and $1,210K. The average days on market was 95 days and the average original list to sales price was 91%. 7 Tahoe Donner homes went pending this week. These ranged in price from $399K – $1,499K. There are now 34 homes in Tahoe Donner under contract! Just 1 new home came on the market this past week to make a total of 96 current active homes listed in Tahoe Donner. This puts the current absorption rate at 35%. The remaining homes on the market equal about 2.8 months of inventory.
