The Highly Anticipated Opening of the Martis Camp Family Barn
As the snow melts here in the Martis Valley, memories of the 2008-09 ski season at Martis Camp will last for years to come. This remarkable season will be remembered for the opening of the direct ski connection to Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort via the Martis Camp Express and the incredible extension of ski trails into the Martis Camp community.
As our attention shifts to warm weather, 2009 promises to be another special summer. Just as the grand opening of the heralded Tom Fazio golf course and Lost Library largely defined last summer, this year will be remembered, in no small measure, for the highly anticipated opening of the Starter Pavilion and golf course on May 22nd followed by the Family Barn in early July. The Barn’s exterior finishes, pool and landscaping are nearing completion, the interior is well under way with the bowling lanes and movie theater beginning to take shape. When the doors open this summer, the Family Barn will no doubt quickly become the epicenter of family recreation at Martis Camp, whether enjoying a Folk School class in the Art Loft, playing basketball, fishing in the nearby stocked lake, swimming in the summer swimming pools, enjoying a malt at the Soda Fountain or spending a blissful evening listening to live music at the amphitheater.

During the week of April 15-29, 4 Tahoe Donner Homes went pending. There are now a total of 16 Tahoe Donner homes under contract. 3 homes sold this past week. 1 home sold for $415K, 1 for $430K, and 1 for $510K. The average original list to sales price was 75% and the average days on market was 256. 9 new homes came on the market in Tahoe Donner this past week. There are now currently 147 active single family homes listed. The absorption rate in Tahoe Donner is around 11% and there is approximately 9 months of inventory remaining. 3 homes went pending and 3 homes sold in Tahoe Donner this past week. There are now 16 Tahoe Donner homes under contract. The average days on market for the 3 homes that sold was only 28 days which shows that the homes that are priced well are going quickly! The average original list to sales price for the homes sold was 95% which is a higher number than we’ve seen in Tahoe Donner over the past few months. The price range for the homes that sold was in the $500K – $600K range. 6 new homes came on the market this week in Tahoe Donner and there are now a total of 145 single family homes listed. The absorption rate in Tahoe Donner is currently 11% and there is approximately 9 months of inventory remaining.
